And all this talk of maggots on turnips is making me nervous - I'll have to check to see if there are any flies under my netting.Margarethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15949946977793864054noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3698134075709295915.post-41162934890400654152015-05-20T05:20:08.989-04:002015-05-20T05:20:08.989-04:00It seem that we are all being plagued by unwelcome...It seem that we are all being plagued by unwelcome garden pests.Sue Garretthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08164518448098182276noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3698134075709295915.post-67965836986988728112015-05-19T20:20:18.999-04:002015-05-19T20:20:18.999-04:00Your spring kale looks great. Likewise, Brassicas very often fall prey to Cabbage Root Fly. These days I put lots of faith in commercially-supplied nematodes. They seem to do a pretty good job.Mark Willishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04558305122821209520noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3698134075709295915.post-4018543464691829862015-05-19T13:39:35.229-04:002015-05-19T13:39:35.229-04:00Your Kale looks great! I haven't done spring planted ones, though the white Asian types are so fast they would be good candidates for it.Dave @ HappyAcreshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03441364543023807886noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3698134075709295915.post-81008097903931939332015-05-19T10:11:58.086-04:002015-05-19T10:11:58.086-04:00Your new kale looks perfect, I'm sure that mad...Your new kale looks perfect, I'm sure that made it much easier to pull out the overwintered bunch.
