That is why your blog was mentioned in this issue: http://www.acnargs.org/newsletter/201210.pdf

FYI the ACNARGS is located in Ithaca, NY, home of Cornell University. It should really be called the Finger Lakes Chapter, imho. There is probably a story about that, but I don't know it.Kathyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11106962533729909868noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3698134075709295915.post-75032705324742223442012-10-03T17:32:56.181-04:002012-10-03T17:32:56.181-04:00I want to try pumpkins next year!

When it started to get that black rot (no clue what it is, but happens in the middle of the summer every year here) I stripped off all the old leaves on the main trunk and most of the side shoots only leaving two per plant. It worked. It isn't producing a lot, but it is enough for me.Daphne Gouldhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17305049560953735881noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3698134075709295915.post-36130125674397023932012-10-01T23:39:12.536-04:002012-10-01T23:39:12.536-04:00Nice harvests for the fall! I'm trying to get a fall planting of peas going but they are getting nibbled by a critter and now they are getting blasted by heat (surprise!) so it may not happen this year.
