How strange! Our corn was laid down. We tied it up last night, hopefully it will be OK.Jodyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05442310215979259623noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3698134075709295915.post-56390395212470682592012-07-19T08:14:45.100-04:002012-07-19T08:14:45.100-04:00Glad you didn't have any serious damage from t...Glad you didn't have any serious damage from the microburst. Our summer precipitation is much more mild mannered, a heavy fog now and then might leave things a bit moist. I hope your garden recovers.Michellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07812702328134261533noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3698134075709295915.post-88328413119280734362012-07-18T19:59:59.847-04:002012-07-18T19:59:59.847-04:00Well the tall corn that is earring right now almos...Well the tall corn that is earring right now almost made it. If it had been shorter it would have. On one side is the bean trellis and the other the row cover. So it was protected since the wind was going sideways across the beds there. But then the row cover ripped off part of the bed and took a lot of them down.Daphne Gouldhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17305049560953735881noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3698134075709295915.post-79135348895376490772012-07-18T19:47:56.474-04:002012-07-18T19:47:56.474-04:00Oh my gosh Daphne...my heart goes out to you and a...Oh my gosh Daphne...my heart goes out to you and all hit by microbursts. We are a small street so low priority. He won't be able to get his truck out for work tomorrow. He is hoping to find someone with a chainsaw.Daphne Gouldhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17305049560953735881noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3698134075709295915.post-85999174841435847082012-07-18T19:20:20.252-04:002012-07-18T19:20:20.252-04:00I had that happen to my garden twice in the past m...I had that happen to my garden twice in the past month. The first time the corn righted itself, the second time it was too flat and I had to push it back up and tie it. Next year, if I plant corn, I'm going to fence it in tight so it has no where to fall.Annie*s Grannyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04772261218172078099noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3698134075709295915.post-39180647050734454102012-07-18T19:08:36.103-04:002012-07-18T19:08:36.103-04:00Hopefully, you can get everything straightened out...Hopefully, you can get everything straightened out in the morning.

We had the potential of really bad storms. But, everything went well here. Just a little bit of strong wind then some nice rain and cooling temps.

I haven't seen the plots yet though!Robinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12220238404223196571noreply@blogger.com
