Monday's two harvests. It was definitely the week of the cherry tomato. They had been lagging around for a while, but they really ripened up this week.
Sunday's harvest was for my CSA. I only picked some. I let my CSA folks pick any tomatoes they wanted and peppers. I'm currently not eating them so they have become a free for all for them and my townhouse mates. The ones they pick are not getting weighed. And any lettuce my townhouse mates pick.

Daphne,
ReplyDeleteEverything looks so nice. I'm guessing your asthma is still bothering you if you're avoiding the tomatoes & peppers. I hope you feel better soon.
Beautiful-love the trays of cherry tomatoes-such a nice way to display!
ReplyDeleteShame you cant eat tomatoes at the moment. Those carrots look good though.
ReplyDeleteYou make me curious, Dahpne! What is CSA?
ReplyDeleteLovely harvest you have this week.
Take care,
Charlotta
I'm envious of your eggplant. This year the flea beetles were so bad that I only have three little fruit set on the surviving plants.
ReplyDeleteEmily, yup I'm probably going to write a post about it if I can get my act together.
ReplyDeleteMadame C, CSA stands for community supported agriculture. Typically it is a farm that sells shares of what they produce. Now I'm not a farm, but I produce more than I eat and have a friend that is making me some things. So we are trading. So every week I send her a share of the garden.
I figured you were still fighting your asthma. It's a bad time of the year. I hope you will feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteYour harvests look wonderful!
Hope you are soon breathing easier. Still, it is a lovely harvest. I hope you'll be enjoying those delicious tomatoes again before long.
ReplyDeleteThose are some nice carrots! I have my fill of cherry tomatoes too! Lovely peppers!
ReplyDeleteI can just imagine how many tomatoes and peppers were harvested for the CSA. I hope you are feeling better this week.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tomatoes and peppers! I'm sad to hear you can't enjoy them though! Bummer. I hope you feel better soon!!! Keep your head up!
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteWe have been making our cherry tomatoes into sun-dried...your are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you can't eat your tomatoes. I'm glad you have folks to reap the benefits of your green thumb.
ReplyDeleteI'm jealous of your tomatoes. The weather around our place has really cooled off and that has slowed our tomatoes down. We only picked a couple for the whole week!! All you stuff looks great!
ReplyDeleteNow you're making me regret the fact that I've been ignoring my cherry tomatoes. LOL! I got sick of them a couple of weeks ago and decided to stop picking them. Now we have rotting clusters everywhere and not a single good looking one to pick. Oh well.
ReplyDeleteI love the fact that you have a mini CSA going this year. You should give a name to your urban farm - Dandelion Farm?! :)
Your townhouse mates and CSA folks are so lucky. I do hope that your asthma calms down so that you can enjoy your garden again before the season is over.
ReplyDeleteI´m sorry that You still can´t eat tomatoes, hope it passes soon! Nice harvest You got today anyway! Love the colour on the cherry tomatoes! Have a good day/nice evening!
ReplyDeleteHi Daphne, I'm harvesting the same as last week so I put up a recipe for blackberry blueberry jam. It seems that since I dropped the community garden I have a small but steady harvest each week.
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of cherry tomatoes are those?
Hope you are feeling better!
wow that is a whole lot of cherry tomatoes!!! I hope you feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteI've been interested in growing celery. Any tips? Yours looks great!
ReplyDeleteSorry your sthma is still bothering you. I hope it calms down soon.
ReplyDeleteThis week I would have had about as many cherry tomatoes if they hadn't literally exploded from all the rain!
What a bummer about the asthma, but it's letting me catch up with you in harvest totals! See, there's a sunny side to everything ;-)
ReplyDeleteOK, that wasn't funny. I itch when I get in the garden, but at least I can breathe.
The cherry tomatoes look like little containers of jewels. Very pretty.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry you are still not feeling well. How was your appointment with your allergist last week?
I love the cherry tomatoes, and am disappointed that mine didn't do too well this year. Do you find that growing celery is worth it?
ReplyDeleteI am so envious of your homegrown veggies and can't wait to start growing my own againin abundance. This is my first time participating here and hope its okay as I'm submitting my mothers homegrown tomatoes.
ReplyDeleteI love the colors of the cherry tomatoes.
ReplyDeleteOur tomatoes are mostly done, though I need to get into the garden and pick the few that are left. Last week was really crazy with back to school stuff. Maybe tomorrow when I have no commitments.
Hi Daphne,long time no see!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to be back after a busy summer.
Wonderful as always to see all the bountyful yields every one has got.
I've just fisnished writing my first book, guess what it is about?
Yes that's correct - Growing matters! :-) Isn't that cool?
Tyra
