Harvest Monday, February 11th, 2013

I've got nothing except snow here. Certainly no harvests. I have been using my preserved harvest though. Some dinners have more garden produce than others.

After shoveling on Sunday I felt a great need for carbs. So I made pancakes for dinner. Not our norm, but it does happen. I opened a can of homemade applesauce (sadly not from the garden, but it was from the local farmers) and a can of my homegrown strawberry syrup. Yum!

Harvest Monday is a day to show off your harvests, how you are saving your harvest, or how you are using your harvest. If you have a harvest you want to show off, add your name and link to Mr Linky below.

  1. Pancakes for dinner sounds just wonderful especially after shovelling that much snow, hope it was the powdery kind, so much lighter and easier to shovel.

  2. Sometimes a big plate of pancakes is just what the doctor ordered! They look really yummy with the applesauce and strawberry jam topping.

  4. I have been low-carbing since last April and haven't had pancakes in forever, it seems. But hey, tomorrow is Shrove Tuesday and I may break my fast for pancakes. Thanks for the temptation, girl!

  5. Yum, your pancakes look delicious! No harvests for me for the last few weeks, I've been away on an adventure. I sure hope there's something left to harvest from the garden when I get home, I'm craving fresh vegetables in the worst way.

  8. Your pancake meal looks delicious! Good reward after shoveling I would think! Our snow is gone but cold here! Will be happy when it is warm enough to start planting out in the garden! Nancy

  9. I cant imagine dealing with snow in my vegetable garden. I wouldn't even know where to start. It seems to me to be a whole new world of gardening, a different beast. Good luck with it and I get the need for carb!
