  1. I love overview pics that show the progression of the garden. I like them as a garden reference too - because I refer back to the prior year overview pics to remind myself where I had some items planted in order to avoid accidentally putting them in the same location two years in a row.

Your garden has filled out nicely!

  4. kitsapFG, I maintain a really strict rotation regimen so I don't plant something that has been there in the last couple of years. Since I have three beds it works out pretty well. I wish I could do four year rotations instead of three.

Taylor they have taken over. I keep pulling them back off of the tomatillos, but they keep falling back on them.

prue, I love to see the progression too. My favorite is to see that in July I could walk down that middle path, but now I have to step over everything to do that. I ought to cut the plants back but I just can't bear to do that.

    Jen, thanks!

  6. It's great seeing the progression, Daphne! I should do one so I can see how much I've really gotten done this year- I'm sure it would be uplifting!

  8. And we wonder why we do it, despite all the setbacks. THERE is why we do it. We get to participate in THAT!

    Thanks for sharing!

  9. What a difference a few months make. Now the days are getting noticeably shorter already...your garden looks spectacular.

  10. How fun to see your garden each month!

Is that a hosta kind of in the middle? It's so pretty. That's what I need to soften all the angles in my garden!!!

Thanks for sharing all your garden pictures. So pretty!!!!

  11. Missy M, thanks!

DirtDigger, I think the photos are just like photos of kids. As you watch them grow you don't see the progression. But with the photos, you can really tell.

    Sheila, Dan, June, jodi, thanks!

Toni, Yes there is a hosta there. The edges of my garden are all flowers or ornamentals.

  12. Daphne - your garden sure is lush and pretty. I love how you've mixed in non-edible things in there, too. I wish mine was prettier....

  13. EG, Since my garden is fully visible from my street I like to make it look pretty. Of course during the spring it is so ugly with all my row covers because I'm trying to stretch my seasons.

  14. Great photos. I haven't done progression photos in years and I regret it. You can not only appreciate the developments in your garden but you can get some perspective about what you like and don't like and if you do this every year, make comparisons.
